In 1924, with the collapse of the last Islamic Caliphate in Turkey, the Muslim Ummah entered an era of deep crisis. In the name of “democracy” and “nation-states,” Western powers fragmented the Muslim world into colonial constructs. Over the past 100 years, Muslims have faced waves of massacres, oppression, and wars across the globe.

According to various international studies, human rights organizations, and historians, nearly 30 million Muslims have been killed in direct conflict, state-sponsored violence, and military aggression over the last century.

A basic mathematical analysis shows that in 100 years (36,500 days), this averages to around 821 Muslims killed per day—and this excludes covert massacres, prison executions, enforced disappearances, and unrecorded war crimes.

With an average of 5 liters of blood per human body, the bloodshed of 30 million Muslims equates to 150 million liters of blood—enough to fill 60 Olympic-sized swimming pools, each holding about 2.5 million liters.

This century-long bloodshed traces directly back to state systems operating under the banner of democracy. Since the creation of Israel in 1948, Palestinians have suffered brutal occupation, systematic oppression, and genocide—leaving hundreds of thousands dead and millions displaced. In Iraq and Afghanistan, under the guise of a “War on Terror,” millions of Muslims were killed and entire civilizations were destroyed. The genocides in Bosnia and Rwanda further exposed the hypocrisy of democratic ideals and the silent complicity of the West. In Bosnia alone, over 8,000 Muslim men and boys were slaughtered in a single day at Srebrenica.

In China, Myanmar, and India, Muslims continue to face state-sponsored persecution. Uyghur Muslims are subjected to forced labor and reeducation camps. Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar are victims of an ongoing ethnic cleansing campaign. Indian Muslims face rising mob violence, systemic discrimination, and exclusion under the banner of religious nationalism—fueled by democratic institutions.

This is not merely a death toll—it is an orchestrated, systemic war against Islam and Muslims. The absence of the Caliphate has left the Ummah vulnerable, leaderless, and exposed to ideologies masked as democracy, human rights, and secularism.

The only path to salvation for the Ummah lies in unified Islamic leadership, through Jihad and the return of the Khilafah. As long as the Ummah remains fragmented and passive, the blood of Muslims will continue to be shed in the name of peace, democracy, and nationalism.
